Benefits of Membership continued

Your membership fees allow us to bring a system of local community websites to neighborhoods across the country. Sites like: Portland Oregon Community Pages with information residents need about their local community right at your fingertips.

Yes, it's possible to find all this information through search engines. But it takes a long time, and now with the trend towards keywords going to the highest bidder, it's getting increasingly more difficult to find local businesses offering services and products you want near your own home. Small businesses are being locked out of internet eCommerce due to the increasing costs. Both consumers and small businesses lose in this scenario, because the higher cost of internet marketing is passed on to the consumer. We offer a cooperative, low-cost, localized solution.

Churches, non-profits, local agencies and small business people with expertise to offer the community are encouraged to provide articles published on their community websites about their area of expertise and free services they offer or activities and volunteer opportunities available.

As members of our portal and small business cooperative you are bringing this system of websites to these communities. Communities are encouraged to support small business members. And we will make it easy for people to find local businesses with database driven search that allow for cross categorization, as well as location drill downs to a cross street in a community.

Small business members will each have a business listing in our database free multiple cross-categorizations. They can also opt for larger advertisements that will display on several community pages related to the services or products they offer. For example a commuinty page with information about gardening might contain ads for garden shops, seeds, nursries, landscape services and Real Estate agents. A page about education or children's activities might contain advertisements for hobby shops, books stores, toy stores, child protection, and child care services.

In a bold move to restore a personal touch to business, we are going against the “you can never reach a real person” trend. We will have a local representative in each local community we service.

Individuals or small business owners who have the skills needed to service a community and are interested in doing so please email:

Earnings will depend on what skills you can bring to the table and how much time you can devote. Obviously putting together an internet portal of the magnitude we envision will take a lot of hard work from a lot of dedicated people. Membership dues pay for that work. We think the value our small business members receive from their membership will far outweight the yearly fees they pay. We've kept fees as low as possible, so even the smallest business can participate.

Even so, we recognise that since we are only beginning this endeaver our early members may not reap benefits immediately. So for a limited time we are offering new members 18 months of membership for a pre-paid yearly membership package. Our packages are discribed to the left & below:
