With that in mind, we'd like to introduce small businesses to a better solution than the high cost of today's internet marketing; and introduce consumers to a better way to use the interent to locate the products and sevices they need. The cost of Internet marketing is beginning to outpace small businesses' ability to pay for it. The internet has become dominated by large companies, primarily search engines, now requiring payment for choice postions in keyword search returns. Pay-by-click fees are astronomical for popular keywords. When I first started my own business I went through $2000 in less than two weeks using Overture to bid on a keyword that gave me 2nd position in the search return list. I'm always hearing other small business owners complain about how expensive it's become to use internet services, like eBay, that once helped them to grow their businesses, but that are now becoming too costly to use. The current situation doesn't benefit small businesses or consumers. Companies that can afford such high marketing costs probably aren't offering the most competative prices to consumers. Nor can consumers locate small businesses in a their local area through keyword searches alone. There's got to ba a better way and we think we've come up with it. Our web portal and directory is designed to provide small businesses with an effective affordable means to promote their services and products online. The portal system and network of websites and pages are designed to make it easy for consumers to drill down to find what they want. Members of the portal not only promote their businesses online, but as membership grows, the portal association will offer members discounts for business products, supplies & equiptment. We will work hard to provide our members with a group health insurance plan they can offer their employees. Our ultimate goal is to do everything possible to help our members become more successful and profitable. We feel it's time to bring a sense of community back to business. Our plan is to have local support representatives each community where we have members. During our beta phase we'll be testing different features and gathering input from members about what services they need most. |
